Novaland
A virtual-state research environment for studying solidarity, corruption, and citizen-state interaction.
Novaland is a virtual-state environment developed within the POLITSOLID research agenda. It allows participants to experience public institutions, service quality, redistribution, and corruption in a structured experimental setting rather than only answering abstract survey questions.
The project is designed to study how institutional experience shapes political solidarity, trust, and behavioural responses to the state. By simulating interaction with a political and administrative environment, it creates a controlled way to observe how citizens react to fairness, service quality, and corruption.
The broader aim is to connect behavioural experiments, political science, and public-policy questions in a setting that is immersive enough to feel consequential while remaining analytically tractable.
